Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the endogenous tetrapeptide Tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), extended at the C-terminus with a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence to alter in vitro stability characteristics relative to the native Tuftsin tetrapeptide. The C-terminal extension distinguishes Selank's receptor interaction profile from that of unconjugated Tuftsin and has been characterized in published preclinical research. Investigated in preclinical and in vitro laboratory models examining GABA receptor pathway activity, neuromodulatory signaling mechanisms, stress-response receptor pathway modulation, central nervous system signaling research, and serotonin pathway interactions.
