AOD-9604 is a synthetic 16-amino acid peptide corresponding to a modified C-terminal fragment of the hGH sequence (residues 176-191), incorporating an N-terminal tyrosine substitution that alters in vitro stability characteristics relative to the native hGH fragment sequence. The compound contains a disulfide bond between cysteine residues at positions 7 and 14, forming a loop structure that has been characterized in published structural studies. Originally developed at Monash University by Professor Frank Ng. Investigated in preclinical and in vitro laboratory models examining adipose tissue signaling pathway activity, lipid metabolism pathway signaling, beta-adrenergic receptor pathway modulation, hGH receptor fragment binding research, and intracellular metabolic pathway signaling. Referenced in published preclinical literature examining the receptor binding profile of hGH C-terminal fragment analogues across multiple adipose tissue signaling model systems.
